This November, Moscow will host the Smart City Forum 2019, which will present the best innovations and solutions for the digitalization of the urban environment and housing and communal services.
The forum is organized by the Russian Foundation for the Development of the Digital Economy in support of the federal program “Digital Economy of the Russian Federation”. Russia is actively investing in the digitalization of economic sectors. Thanks to innovations, digital transformation creates powerful new tools for solving various problems. All these trends and trends will be discussed at the Smart City Forum 2019 panel discussions, which will be attended by leading experts and leaders of digital transformation, as well as representatives of ministries, mayors and governors.
“Smart City” – one of the eight directions of the state program “Digital Economy”, adopted by the government of the Russian Federation in July 2017. The Smart City Forum is aimed at discussing problems, solutions and prospects for the development of digitalization of the urban environment within the framework of the Smart City project. The forum will present the best practices of introducing technologies into the urban environment, as well as the presentation of new technological projects, the effective implementation of which is aimed at increasing the competitiveness of Russian cities, the formation of a high-quality urban management system and the creation of safe and comfortable conditions for the life of citizens.
At the plenary session of the forum, they will discuss the digitalization of the urban environment and talk about implementation practices and development prospects, G. Klimenko, member of the Council of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation for the digital economy; A. Ustimenko, partner of EY; G. Danilina, Marketing Director of Dassault Systemes and A. Filatov, CEO of SAP CIS. The forum program also includes discussions on the digitalization of housing and communal services, digital construction, infrastructure and the development of Smart City technologies. Moreover, experts from Kaspersky Lab and Softline will discuss the digitalization of security systems. There will also be panel discussions on the infrastructure of communication networks and the digitalization of transport networks and logistics.
In 2018, Moscow took the first place in the UN rating as the city with the most effective system of providing electronic administrative services to executive authorities. The American McKinsey Institute has named Moscow the best city in Europe, providing its citizens with the latest urban technologies. At the same time, there are still many ways of development in the Smart City program. The Forum will feature the best innovations and interesting projects, including participants of the Billion-Dollar Pitch, which the Digital Economy Development Fund held jointly with Roscongress at SPIEF 2019 in St. Petersburg and GMIS 2019 in Yekaterinburg.
